On 5 December 2013, the world lost one of its most iconic leaders and statesmen, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. To celebrate the centenary of his birth, the Nelson Mandela Day Commemorative Committee Inc. supported by the Victoria Multicultural Commission, Multicultural Arts Victoria and partners invites you to join a day of performances from The Royal Swazi Spa, R&B songwriter Soli Tesema, reggae and new soul musician Ras Jahknow, Iranian dancer Aram Khalkhali and more.

This year the NMDCC will also be marking the dawn of the UN Declaration (2019–2028) of the Nelson Mandela Decade of Peace, which starts next year and seeks to focus the world leaders on the need to “redouble efforts to pursue international peace and security, development and human rights”.
