Michael Lennon

Michael Lennon is managing director of the Housing Choices Australia Group of Companies. Michael has a twenty-five-plus-year international career in housing, planning and urban development. In his native Scotland as chief executive of the Glasgow Housing Association, he oversaw the largest housing stock transfer in Europe at that time. He served as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the Housing New Zealand Corporation. In Australia he led the restructure of the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute.

Michael has advised and collaborated with governments at the highest levels, as well as industry and the University sectors. He has been an advisor to the World Health Organisation and is an experienced Board Director and University Governor.

Michael is currently the national chair of the Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA), chair of the South Australian State Planning Commission and a Trustee of the South Australian HistoryTrust.
